'"Volver a Empezar" is an intimate self-portrait exploring themes of renewal and rebirth. In the piece, I emerge from a cactus, surrounded by a nopalera. This work draws inspiration from a dream I had while on a bus in Mexico City, as well as from traditional Olmec sculpture.'
